The Kitchen
The spacious fitted farmhouse kitchen welcomes you to the heart of Clock Farm. The large table with seating for 10 will quickly become the centre of your holiday – a great place to relax with breakfast and plan your day of sightseeing in York.
With a large electric range oven with ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, toaster and fridge/freezer, everything you need should be close to hand. The kitchen also features a Bose bluetooth wireless speaker. Two high chairs are also available if you have small children with you.
Living Areas
Alongside the kitchen on the ground floor, the house has two lounges with comfortable leather chairs and sofas and wonderful bay windows looking out onto the garden and the Yorkshire countryside beyond. Both rooms have flat screen Freeview televisions with DVD players and a PlayStation games console. With an open fire in one and a wood burning stove in the other, you can choose your favourite place to relax no matter what the weather is doing.
The house also boasts a small sun lounge for dozing and enjoying the view and a lovely old piano to tinkle on. If playing on an iPad is more your style, there is WiFi connection throughout the house. iPhone/iPad docking station and radio c/d is also included.
The Bedrooms
All of the bedrooms are on the first floor of the house and are laid out to the highest standards. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and also has an ensuite shower room, Freeview TV, a large walk-in wardrobe and stunning views across open Yorkshire countryside.
The other four bedrooms are all large and thoughtfully furnished. All bedrooms can be made up as superking or twins on request.
Two travel cots and two folding beds are also available on request.
Bathrooms
The house is equipped with plenty of bath/shower/toilets for your whole party. As well as the master bedroom ensuite shower room, upstairs there is a large family bathroom with separate shower and a further large shower room. There is also a large downstairs toilet.
External & Gardens
Clock Farm House is blessed with a large private lawned garden which opens out directly onto open paddocks and farmed fields.
There is a ha-ha at the bottom of the front garden in order to keep livestock out of the garden and whilst this provides an uninterrupted view, extra care should be taken with small children.
There is a large table and chairs and a BBQ on the patio by the house – guests find this a great place to unwind after a day visiting all the historic sites and tourist attractions of York. The farmhouse is situated on the centre of a working arable family farm. We will be delighted to show you around the farm and livery but ask that you respect that access may be restricted at certain times. There is ample parking for four cars directly outside the house.
